It’s December 23 and according to my weather app, it’s a balmy 8 degrees in Halton Region. While we may not get to partake in some of the outdoor activities I had planned for the kids this holiday break, namely skiing and skating, a green Christmas does have its perks too. Easy traveling to visit out of town relatives, lots of walks outside to admire the houses in our neighbourhood all decorated for the holiday, and burning off energy (caused by one too many candy canes) playing at the park! As I take a moment to sit down and breathe before getting swept up in the busyness that is the season, I wanted to take the time to thank you for the opportunity to share my blog with you.
I’ve mentioned in previous posts that Bronte Creek Provincial Park is one of our family’s favourite outdoor spots in Halton Region. I was super excited to check out their Victorian Christmas event this year. We hadn’t been since 2012 (see my post from that time), and had never been with Em. The marketing specialist, Andrew, assured me that the event this year’s event was the best yet, with even more games, activities and decorations, and we couldn’t wait to check it out.
Well, it’s just over a week to go until Christmas! The house is decorated , the tree is up and most of the presents are bought. The one thing still left to do on the list was get the time-honoured picture with Santa.
